Mel's Meatloaf
Meatloaf: you either love it or you don't. I can assure you that my version of this savory, American classic won't disappoint. Mel’s Meatloaf is Moist, flavorful, and teenager-approved (my eldest’s fave dinner); it's really that good!
Essentials
2 Lbs. Lean Ground Beef
3 Eggs, beaten
1 Yellow Onion, finely chopped
3 T Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
3/4 C Italian Bread Crumbs
1 Tsp Sea Salt
1 Tsp Black Pepper
2 Tsp Lawry's Seasoned Salt
1/2 Cream of Mushroom Soup
3 T Worcestershire
1 C Ketchup
Directions
Preheat oven to 350° Fahrenheit.
In a large bowl, add ground beef, bread crumbs, spices, soup and eggs; mix well.
In a small skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté onions till translucent.
Add the sautéed onion to the meat mixture and sprinkle with worcestershire; mix until well incorporated and spread evenly into a 9x12 baking dish.
Bake for one hour and drain grease, if needed. Add ketchup to the top and spread evenly; cook for another 15 minutes
Once the internal temperature reached 160° Fahreheit, it's ready to serve!
Sprinkle with freshly grated parmesan Cheese and garnish with a Chopped of parsley or sage.
