Salty Dog

The Salty Dog is one of my favorite cocktails. I’m a sucker for grapefruit anything. On a hot day or a warm summer night, it’s super refreshing + edgy when you add a salted rim and your favorite vodka.

Essentials

2 Ounces Gin

4 Ounces Grapefruit Juice

1 Ounce Simple Syrup

Ice

Lemon or Grapefruit Wedge

Sea Salt

Directions

1. In a cocktail shaker, add gin, grapefruit juice and simple syrup; stir well.

2. Add sea salt to a small dish for rimming.

3. Moisten the rim of a chilled double old-fashioned glass with lemon or grapefruit juice and coat the rim with sea salt.

4. Add ice to the glass and double-strain cocktail over ice.

5. Garnish with citrus slice and serve.
