Vodka Martini

 

A Vodka Martini is often served “dirty” which means olive juice is added. Also known as a Vodkatini or a Kangaroo Cocktail, this simple classic is more commonly ordered than a Classic Martini; although i love them both!

Elements

3-1/2 Ounces Vodka

1/2 Ounce Dry Vermouth

Ice

Green Olives or Cocktail Onions

Directions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, add vodka, dry vermouth and ice; shake well.

  2. Double-strain into a chilled martini glass.

  3. Add green olive juice if you prefer a "dirty" vodka martini and garnish with green olives or cocktail onions; serve!

Tip: You may shake a Vodka Martini. It is not proper to shake a Classic Martini made with gin as it will bruise the gin.
